Ramsey Unit provides care for individuals experiencing acute mental health difficulties. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care, supporting service users through some of the most challenging periods of their recovery journey.

Main duties of the job
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective and compassionate care for service users experiencing acute mental health needs.
Depending on your experience, you will either undertake a structured period of preceptorship or receive ongoing professional and leadership development support. All nurses receive regular supervision and support from experienced colleagues, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
You will:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and support to service users and their families. Undertake comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. Act as a Named Nurse, coordinating care and promoting recovery-focused practice. Lead shifts and contribute to the smooth running of the ward, with appropriate support and supervision. Promote and demonstrate the Trust's values of Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Accountability and Excellence in all aspects of your work. Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines to achieve the best outcomes for service users. Maintain professional registration and contribute to the NMC revalidation process. Support the learning and development of Healthcare Support Workers, Student Nurses and other colleagues. Provide clinical leadership and contribute to service improvement and innovation. Maintain a positive and flexible approach to change, helping shape future developments within the service.

Person Specification
Education Essential
Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification. (RNMH & RNLD) On-going registration with the NMC. Evidence of Continued Professional Development that supports clinical practice.
Knowledge Essential
Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments. Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health.
Experience Essential
Post Graduate experience. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure. Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.
