We've invested in state-of-the-art equipment and recently welcomed our new Diagnostic Imaging Director into their crucial role. Main duties of the job Asan MRI LeadRadiographer, you will:

* Act as the clinical lead for MRI services across the department, wards and theatre settings.

* Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a diverse caseload. * Work alongside leading practitioners using advanced imaging techniques, equipment and facilities.

* Lead the development, review and implementation of policies, procedures and best practice.

* Supervise, support and develop junior colleagues and wider team members.

* Ensure the highest standards of patient care are delivered with sensitivity, compassion and professionalism.

* Operate Siemens MRI scanners and perform a broad range of MRI examinations, including cardiac MRI, drawing on a minimum of three years' relevant experience.

* Maintain strict patient and staff safety standards within the MRI environment.

* Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration and teamworking skills.

* Take a proactive, innovative and forward-thinking approach to service delivery and continuous improvement

Ideally, you've also had Radiation Protection Supervisor training. But what's vital is your caring nature. Seeing patients as people, you offer understanding and empathy.

The successful candidate will be qualified Radiographer and registered with the HCPC. you will have experience in managing a team of Radiographers or existing MR lead within the NHS or Private Health care service in the UK. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to take accountability and ownership of developing a department and managing a team. The successful applicant will lead on clinical aspects of training and competencies, QA, MRI safety investigations and ensure that the MRI team are up to date with current practice.
