We are looking for a Activity Coordinator to join our team at Bennu ward, our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Cygnet Hospital Wyke.

You will be working 38.5 Hours per week (Shift Times are 07:15am - 19:45pm including alternative weekends). Bennu Ward is a 12 bed male PICU that accepts emergency and crisis admissions. The aim of Bennu Ward is to provide a short, rapid intervention to help service users regain a sense of control and order in their lives, so they can move to a less restrictive care setting or return home.

Your Day-to-Day

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting with;Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtainedContributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner

Were looking for someone who has

Experience and/or a passion for working in in-patient mental healthIs self-motivated and can work autonomouslyA creative flair and the ability to work as part of a interdisciplinary teamAn awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)
