Job summary
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Flow Co-ordinator's to join our existing team. The flow Co-ordinator is an essential part of AMSS and IAC, and the post holder will work alongside the Nurse and Doctor in charge in the clinical environment to ensure the delivery of a high quality service and facilitate the flow throughout acute medicine.
Shifts will be rotated fairly working on AMSS and IAC.
IAC will be operating a 7 day cover and AMSS operating with a Monday to Friday cover of service. .
The successful applicant must:
Can manage an ever-changing fast paced workload. Have excellent communication skills. Be able to manage and prioritise their own workload. Be able to work in a high pressured and demanding environment Be efficient and organised Must be able to work 10.5 hour days including weekends and bank holidays.
We will provide the successful candidate with a complete induction and support continuing development through yearly appraisals.

Main duties of the job
Tracking the progress of patients care by updating electronic devices
Work in close liaison with the Nurse in Charge, nursing staff and all visitors and multidisciplinary team members who attend the department.
Dealing with telephone enquiries
Undertaking clerical and reception duties in the department, greeting patients, visitors and other health care practitioners and referring to appropriate nurse.
Carry out non-clinical assigned duties which maintain orderliness and timeliness of patients' records.
Arrange the transfer of patients', both between department areas, wards and other hospitals.
Arrange transport for patients and arrange follow up appointments as directed.
Competently take blood samples and ECG recordings which are needed for discharge

Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Qualifications Essential
GCSE English Language Grade 'C' or equivalent plus 2 further GCSE's or equivalent
Previous Experience Essential
Candidate must have experience working with adults.

Able to travel to work on other hospital sites when requested.
