About this role

Job summary

Reablement at Home (R@H) provides a high-quality, Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated, seven-day reablement service across North East Lincolnshire, supporting adults aged 18 and over who are recovering from a hospital admission or are experiencing a temporary decline in health, to remain safely and independently at a home of their choice. Through a person-centred approach, Reablement at Home helps service users regain confidence, develop daily living skills, and maximise their independence promoting health, wellbeing, dignity, and positive outcomes.

Registered with the CQC to provide the regulated activity, the service supports a diverse population, including older people, younger adults, people with disabilities, and those living with dementia. All care is tailored to individual needs, promoting health, wellbeing, dignity, and positive outcomes.

The Registered Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, leadership and ongoing development of R@H, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality and person-centred health and social care services.

The Registered Manager is accountable for maintaining CQC registration requirements and ensuring that regulated activities are delivered safely, effectively and in accordance current legislation and best practice.

Job Title: Registered Manager - Reablement at Home

Base: Westgate Park, Charlton Street, Grimsby

Hours: 37.5 per week, working with some weekend/ evening

Salary: Range 7, £45,987 - £52,434 per annum

As Registered Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, leadership and ongoing development of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, high-quality and person-centred health and social care services. You will have responsibility for the leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary teams, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with regulatory requirements, organisational priorities, contractual obligations and professional standards.

You will support the Operational Manager in achieving strategic objectives and driving continuous quality improvement across the service.

You will ensure the effective application of the Mental Capacity Act, including the completion and oversight of capacity assessments and best interest decision-making, supporting staff to implement evidence-based practice and best practice guidance across service delivery.

You will collect, analyse and present service quality and performance data to inform decision making, service planning and continuous improvement.

You will be involved in liaising and working with other professionals: E.g. Hospital Discharge Team, Focus, CUCT, voluntary organisations, GPs, Therapists and Care Agencies.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory/management position. Experience of working within Health and Social care at a management level Experience of leading a team through change. Previous experience in dealing with the Care Quality Commission. Experience of Budget and financial management Experience of service review and development including Audit Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equality Act 2010, Health and Safety at Work etc. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team or in partnership with other disciplines e.g. therapy, nurses

Desirable

Experience of working within Older Peoples and Learning Disability Services at a management level Previous experience as a Registered Manager/Responsible Individual with the Care Quality Commission Experience of using databases

Qualifications Essential

Professional Qualification RN/ AHP/ Social Worker with current registration Registered with a professional body Post Graduate Leadership & Management qualification
