POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the immediate supervision of housekeeping staff in keeping the hotel, casino and office areas in a clean and orderly condition for the Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center. In all interactions, the position is responsible for providing STAR Experience to guests and fellow team members a first priority.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs supervision, training, development and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce for Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.
• Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to assure mutual understanding of desired results.
• Assesses Team Member performance, provides positive and constructive feedback including formal counseling guides on an ongoing basis to reinforce desired results.
• Identifies training and/or development opportunities that will assist the Team Member in achieving enhanced job performance and/or career objectives.
• Conduct room inspections to identify quality of room cleanliness according to established standards.
• Documents any deficiency through proper procedures.
• Complete and forwards work orders to all necessary locations.
• Completes cart sheets & all reports assigned.
Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms to enhance the guest experience at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.
• Performs overall cleaning and sanitation of hotel rooms, including dusting, washing, vacuuming and mopping/wiping of walls, ceilings, woodwork, carpets, and furniture according to checklist.
• Rotates mattress encasements, pillows & pillow encasements, shower curtains and bedding according to schedule and guest needs.
• Inspects guest rooms for left items. If guest items are found notify Dispatch/Housekeeping Supervisor and log items. Return lost and found items to the Housekeeping Office or Security based on item value.
Ensures guest rooms are properly stocked with amenities to ensure a comfortable stay at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel & Event Center.
• Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, paper supplies, toiletries and maintain record of items going into the room.
• Report any missing items from hotel rooms.
• Stock, clean, and organize carts, counts, folds and carries linens.
• Monitor and maintain inventory carts & in storage area.
• Maintain cleanliness of carts, cart rooms & other storage areas.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness prior to changing occupancy status.
Cleans office areas assigned to enhance the overall experience and enlighten the guests stay
• Clean office according to schedule.

• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while on duty.
• Adhere to departmental uniform policy.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and training as assigned.
• Complete reports as required.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred plus a minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training.
Certificates, Licenses & Designations
Must meet the requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State compact for Gaming.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Knowledge of and skill in using a personal computer and related software.
• Knowledge of Hotel policies and procedures regarding housekeeping.
• Skills in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals.
• Skill of receiving a message, understanding the intended message and giving feedback to ensure Team Members and guests expectations are met.
• Ability to prepare written materials such as correspondence, reports and evaluations.
• Knowledge of Hotel policies and procedures regarding housekeeping.
• Ability to constructively evaluate the work of others and provide feedback.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules, and operation and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
• Ability to follow procedures and give attention to detail.
• Ability to frequently stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to frequently walk for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
