About this role
Essential Functions:
• Inspects shipments (FTL and LTL) for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies Supervisor and/or Purchasing personnel.
• May deliver sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory (returns) received from FedEx, UPS or other.
• Interact with drivers on a regular basis.
• Perform seal inspections frequently throughout the day (all weather conditions).
• Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase orders (POs) to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
• Must safely operate carts/dollies, pallet jacks, pallet riders, and/or forklifts in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
• May operate shrink-wrap and pallet positioner machines and other warehouse equipment as needed.
• Must follow all cGMP rules including SOPs, company policies and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Prepare, stage, and load customer orders in a safe and timely manner.
• Pull products by item and lot number on a consistent basis without errors.
• Be able to operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned and participate in cross-training initiatives.
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday

Knowledge/Skills:
• Must have a basic understanding of operating systems (used for inbound / outbound shipments).
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Must adhere to and follow all safety requirements/policies and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with all OSHA, cGMP, and company initiatives/policies including the use of PPE and safe material handling techniques.
Education/Experience:
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with receiving processes in a WMS or ERP system is desirable.
• 1+ years' work experience using Microsoft Applications is a plus.
• 1+ years' experience in receiving, unloading trucks and material handling is required.
• Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and equipment, general knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) a plus.

The Logistics Technician I reports directly to the Logistics Manager and must work cooperatively (team player) with others in different areas/departments.
