It is the cornerstone for all that we do here at Wyld. -Make a Mark -We Blaze Our Own Trail -Brand First -We Mean Business Summary The Packaging Lead packages and prepares all packaging products for distribution by performing all duties meticulously and assisting with the daily workflow. The Packaging Lead supports packaging team members when a Supervisor is not present. They are also responsible for training and coaching packaging team members in collaboration with Supervisors and Managers. This role opens and/or closes shifts and must be able to work a flexible schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area for yourself and other employees Perform basic visual quality inspections on products Maintain packaging flow by ensuring adequate product levels at each station Ensure quotas are met by observing Packaging Support team members and training/coaching Maintain high-quality standards during shifts including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced Ability to work well with others in high-pressure situations with a sense of urgency Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product Perform opening and closing duties Ensure proper storage of all facility consumables and products; storing food products in compliance with safety practices Maintain and comply with sanitation and safety standard; maintaining a clean and organized packaging area and work environment Perform visual quality inspections on products, minimize waste where possible Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company Assist Production Supervisors and Managers in training and coaching Packaging Support employees on proper procedures, techniques and compliance protocol Communicate quality or safety discrepancies to Supervisors, Managers and/or Directors Makes recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and training of the Packaging Support team Assist the Production Manager or Packaging Supervisor as needed Ensure a safe working environment; reviewing and communicating daily on all safety related topics of discussion Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
