Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Controller to assist with our projects in Maumee, OH! This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Receives and provides information to all staff, vendors, outside accountants, and clients. Maintains client confidentiality of all financial and project work and the confidentiality of employee information. Must be able to work independently with instructions as to the general results expected and meet deadlines on projects. Lead day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, WIP, fixed assets) Own month-end close, internal financial reporting including account reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance Oversee project-based revenue recognition and ensure alignment with ASC 606 Oversee annual FAR overhead rate audit and rate submission with state DOTs Oversee annual financial audit Assist in the creation of the annual budget and rolling forecast, including the 13-week cash flow forecast Play a key role in acquisition integration and financial system alignment Support cash flow management and performance tracking Improve internal controls and drive automation initiatives Manage and develop a small, skilled accounting team Work cross-functionally on projects and initiatives. Complete ad-hoc assignments as needed Other duties and responsibilities as directed
