About the Recruitment Specialist role: We are hiring for two specialists, on 2 different schedules. This role requires an individual who is a quick learner, very organized, self-motivated, and is available to work 15 hours per week (available schedules are listed at bottom of post). This role is hybrid, with minimum of 1 shift per week in the office, either on our Vancouver campus, or on our Halifax campus. As a recruitment specialist, or “booker”, you will act as the first point of contact between a prospective student and the institution, building awareness, interest, and trust that ultimately feeds the admissions pipeline. You are a top-of-funnel, direct-to-consumer (DTC) Student Recruiter, primarily responsible for generating prospective student interest, engaging with students early in their decision-making journey. Your focus is on lead qualification, nurturing early-stage prospects, booking appointments with admission advisors, and driving applications. Success is measured by metrics such as contact time, inquiry-to-appointment volume, inquiry-to-application conversion rates, and overall contribution to enrollment targets. This involves phone call, texting and email engagement with student leads, answering enquiries, and follow up with admission advisors to ensure that applications and enquiries lead to enrolments. Contact prospective students rapidly (within 5 minutes of inquiry), warmly, enthusiastically, respectfully, and openly, through telephone, email and text. Collaborate closely with the Admissions Advisors based in Halifax and Vancouver to ensure a smooth customer journey from enquiry to application and enrolment. Create and implement top-of-funnel conversion plans in line with OICC Ensure delivery of conversion plans is timely and review often to optimize efforts Develop a good working knowledge of OICC programs, financial support, available scholarships and bursaries, application process, and program pricing. Contact, follow-up, and nurture leads who have expressed an interest in our programs through multiple channels such as phone calls, SMS texting, and some email. Listen attentively and answer questions about our programs confidently. Monitor and track lead status, applications, and sales to ensure that key performance indicators are being met. Keep stakeholders informed of lead status. Create and maintain lead status reports as required. Identify trends in lead enquiries, applications and sales to inform decision-making and contribute to future recruitment/conversion strategies. Perform any other duties commensurate with the role as reasonably required.
