About this role
As an Orbital Tube Welder at Impulse, you will be responsible for the precision assembly, welding, inspection and documentation of high-reliability orbital welds used in space flight hardware. This role is hands-on, detail-oriented and critical to delivering flight-worthy hardware on aggressive timelines. Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and procedures for flight and development hardware Setup, maintain and operate the orbital welding system to produce high quality orbital welds Document build steps, nonconformances, and test results in manufacturing and quality systems Maintain cleanliness and configuration control of flight hardware Work closely with engineers, quality, and other technicians to resolve issues and improve processes Support rework, repair, and root-cause investigations as needed
