Join our Document Accessibility Services (DAS) team as an Accessibility Transcription Specialist, where your work directly impacts the lives of people with disabilities. You’ll be part of a dedicated crew transforming everyday documents into inclusive, alternate formats like braille, large print, audio, and more. Whether you're fine-tuning a document to meet strict accessibility standards or lending your expertise to a teammate, no two days are the same. You'll thrive in this role if you're organized, curious, and eager to learn the ins and outs of transcription, digital remediation, and industry compliance (like Unified English Braille (UEB) and WCAG). Transcribe documents into accessible formats such as Large Print, Audio, eText, and Braille using designated software. Ensure all transcriptions meet client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and quality requirements. Collaborate with team members and manage timelines effectively to meet project deadlines. Receive on-the-job training for format specifications and software usage. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of transcriptions. Adapt to evolving accessibility standards and technologies. Other duties, as assigned.
