The day to day job of a Senior Pharmacy Assistant in Radiopharmacy will include making radiopharmaceutical products following defined procedures and processes. The role will also involved cleaning the pharmaceutical cleanrooms to GMP standards, ordering and receiving stock, management of equipment and maintaining a high standard of documentation and records, you will also spend some time working with the aseptic team based at St Luke's hospital making sterile individual doses of chemotherapy.
You will be paid Trainee Rate (75% of the top of Band 3 - £20,607 per annum) until you have completed NQV Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant Qualification if applicable.
Main duties of the job
Working in the radiopharmacy cleanroom, making radioactive doses for diagnostic imaging within , medical physics, maintaining cleanroom standards and cleanliness, ensuring correct stock is available, maintaining regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will need to be dedicated and hardworking, and have a willingness to be flexible when necessary. As a consequence of the often pressured working environment, there is a strong management focus on staff wellbeing, flexible working and support within the team, the outcome being that the team is highly-functioning, fun, friendly and supportive of all colleagues.
Working hours for these posts can be discussed at interview and the management team are willing to be flexible in order to suit both the needs of the department and successful candidates however, start times will be 6:30am.
