Are you passionate about improving the quality and safety of patient care? We're looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Governance Coordinator to join our Care Group
Main duties of the job
Governance Team
Working as part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving quality improvement, patient safety and governance across the Care Group. You'll work in close partnership with our Medical Quality Leads, Matrons, Service Managers, Operations Director, Clinical Director, Nurse Director and Deputy Nurse Director, ensuring governance is embedded in everyday practice and that learning leads to meaningful improvements for patients and staff.

You'll lead on incident and complaint management, risk management, CQC assurance, governance reporting and quality improvement initiatives, using data, insight and collaboration to influence change and improve outcomes across our services.
We're looking for someone who is curious, organised and confident, with excellent communication and influencing skills. Someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting teams and creating a culture where learning, quality and patient safety are everyone's responsibility.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications Essential
Registered nursing professional or Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience 1st Level Degree or evidence of working towards. Evidence of recent, relevant professional development
Desirable
To have completed the national practice assessor training or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification for those with ENB998. Clinical Audit course/Basic risk management/health and safety qualification
Experience Essential
Extensive and relevant post professional qualification experience Experience of working effectively in a relevant multi-disciplinary environment, some of which must be at AFC 6 Experience of developing patient centred services Experience of incident investigation Evidence of managing change
Skills and Knowledge Essential
Working knowledge of the Governance Strategy and Complaints Policy Experience of clinical audit Experience of Risk Management Good IT skills
Personal Qualities Essential
Influencing and negotiating skills Evidence of well-developed written and report writing skills Flexible to meet the needs of the service Willingness to maintain clinical skills, working clinical shifts as necessary
