Main duties of the job
This is your chance to make a real difference to people living with complex, enduring mental health conditions who are experiencing acute, long term mental health problems within our inpatient services in North Cumbria.
You will be a highly skilled and knowledgeable team player who is able to think holistically and creatively in order to deliver specialist assessment and management and physiotherapy service provision for service users who have a variety of complex physiotherapy needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health, learning disabilities and /or neurological conditions, alongside our multi-disciplinary team.
Alongside the clinical leads and other colleagues, you will undertake the service development and implementation of evidence based core pathways across inpatient services. Using research, innovation, and quality improvement.

Person Specification
Education and Qualification Essential
Recognised Physiotherapy Degree Qualification or Equivalent State registered with HCPC Further relevant post qualifying training.
Desirable
Registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Knowledge and Experience Essential
Proven track record of post registration clinical experience relevant to the post. Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC and CSP standards and other local and national initiatives. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team Proven ability to manage a clinical caseload in a flexible manner as required. Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC and CSP standards and other local and national initiatives
Desirable
Knowledge of involving service users/ carers in evaluation/planning and monitoring of services
Skills and Competencies Essential
Skills in a range of appropriate standardised and informal assessments Proven ability to communicate effectively within multi-agency teams Highly developed communication skills Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions Risk Assessment/management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
