Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers to work as part of the clinical team within ward 10 in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.
The successful candidate will be required to have had past surgical experience and work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and will be expected to undertake fundamental aspects of patient care at Band 3 criteria including undertaking patient's vital signs of surgical patients.

The individual will be required to have good communication skills to be able to relate to patients, members of patient's families and the multidisciplinary team that work within the clinical area.

The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements.
