Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Project Manager (Band 6) within a growing and ambitious transformation function. These roles have been created as we expand our capability and continue to develop a more formalised Project Management Office (PMO) to support delivery of our five-year strategy and organisational ambitions.
You will support the delivery of a range of transformation projects, aligned to organisational priorities and programme requirements. This may include supporting improvements to patient pathways such as outpatients, access and flow, contributing to corporate service redesign and non-clinical workforce transformation, or supporting projects focused on the development and modernisation of our estate.
Working within our developing PMO, you will contribute to embedding consistent project management approaches, governance and ways of working, helping to support a culture of high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job
As a Project Manager, you will support the delivery of projects within a broad transformation portfolio, contributing to a range of initiatives aligned to organisational priorities.
You will support the development and maintenance of project plans, risks, issues and dependencies, track progress against milestones, and help ensure projects are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality standards.
You will contribute to projects that improve patient pathways and operational performance, support corporate service redesign and non-clinical workforce transformation, or assist with estates transformation programmes to improve the environment in which care is delivered.
In all cases, you will support the identification and tracking of measurable benefits and contribute to ensuring that change is effectively embedded and sustainable over the longer term.
You will work closely with colleagues across clinical, operational, estates and corporate services, building positive working relationships to support delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will also contribute to the ongoing
development of the PMO, supporting improvements in governance, reporting and delivery approaches.
We are looking for candidates with project management experience or transferable skills. You will be organised, proactive and motivated, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while supporting delivery in a complex and evolving environment.

- Lead and support the delivery of transformation and service improvement projects across the Trust.

Person Specification
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Essential
Educated to degree level in relevant subject and/or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area Evidence of Continuing Professional Development Experience of project and programme management, including planning, implementation and delivery. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a range of stakeholders. Experience of developing project documentation, reports and business cases. Experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver change. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams. Ability to analyse complex information and use evidence to support decision-making. Ability to work independently, use initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable
Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, MSP). Experience of working within the NHS or a healthcare setting. Experience of facilitating workshops, presentations and engagement events.
