Main duties of the job As a Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by ensuring they receive the quality care and support they deserve. You'll assist with daily living activities, providing both support and companionship, and you'll share in creating great moments and memories. This role offers a chance to bring your dedication and compassion to a fulfilling environment. Each day will be different, with tasks ranging from supporting residents with their meals and following care plans to ensuring that each resident has one-to-one time. This position is a part-time evening shift role, working from 5pm to 8pm, four evenings one week and three evenings the next. In total, this equates to 12 hours of work one week and 9 hours the next. To join Barchester as a Care Assistant, you need to have some experience in caring for older people, a proactive approach, and excellent communication skills. Your empathy and warmth must shine through, but most crucially, you'll have the compassion needed to deliver high-quality care and support for all residents.
