Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 HR Transactional Hub Advisor position within the HR Transactional Hub.
As many of you will be aware, the Hub continues to develop into a centralised shared service supporting Recruitment, Temporary Staffing, Rostering, Employee Services and Statutory & Mandatory Training administration across the Trust. As the service continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for an individual who is motivated, organised and committed to delivering a high-quality service to join the team.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment, is solution-focused and is keen to further develop their knowledge and experience across transactional HR services.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will support a wide range of transactional processes and staff queries managed through the Employee Service Centre (ESC), ESR, HealthRoster and associated systems.
The role will involve supporting areas including:
Recruitment and onboarding activity Temporary Staffing administration Employee Services transactional processing Rostering support activity Statutory & Mandatory Training administration Processing employee changes and maintaining accurate records Responding to queries from managers and employees Supporting wider Hub priorities and operational demands The Hub operates as a shared service model and therefore flexibility, teamwork and a willingness to support across different workstreams are essential.

Education & Qualifications Essential
Good general education, including GCSE English and Maths (A-C / 9-4) or equivalent, OR relevant experience demonstrating strong literacy and numeracy skills. Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Desirable
CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience Essential
Experience working in an administrative or transactional support role. Experience providing routine information or guidance to customers or colleagues Experience maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive information Experience working within set procedures and service standards. Working within a high volume team or service completing transactional activity
Desirable
Experience working within the NHS or other large, complex organisation. Experience contributing to service improvement activities.
Skills & Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of general HR administrative processes across the employment lifecycle (e.g., starters, contractual changes, leavers, absence recording Understanding of the importance of data protection, confidentiality, and GDPR. Knowledge of office systems and digital record management. Understanding of the need to follow policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines. ESC and ESR.
Desirable
Knowledge of NHS employment frameworks including Agenda for Change. Familiarity with ESR or other HR systems. Awareness of NHS organisational structures.
Other Requirements Essential
Ability to work flexibly to meet service demands Commitment to delivering high-quality, timely HR services. Ability to maintain accurate workforce documentation and support audit requirements.
Desirable
Awareness of digital HR tools and their role in improving efficiency.
