Job summary
We are looking for a Practice Nurse to support our surgery in Bexleyheath. We are a GP practice based across three sites in Bexleyheath, Erith and Bexley.
Main duties of the job
Immunisations (Influenza, pneumococcal and shingles) Childhood immunisations Chronic disease management e.g., Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD, Asthma, CHD Family planning advise e.g., pill checks, LARC & emergency contraception. Injections, IM, sub/cut e.g., B12, Zoladex etc. Health promotion e.g., diet, smoking cessation, exercise, weight, alcohol etc New patients health checks Screening (blood pressure checks, blood glucose monitoring) Over 75s health assessments Sexual health Travel advice and immunisations Womens health (cervical screening, menopause, breast awareness) Wound care (dressings, stitches, etc.) and tissue viability including leg ulcer care.

We are a large GP practice with over 20,000 patients based across 3 sites in Bexleyheath, Erith and Bexley. The job is based at our Bexleyheath site but you may be asked to travel across sites if necessary.

To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team.
