Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Specialty Doctor to join our Breast Surgery Team at Macclesfield District General Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic and supportive department, working alongside experienced Consultants, Core Trainees and Breast Care Nurses. We deliver a high-quality, patient-focused service in a modern, well-equipped District General Hospital.
The Department offers extensive opportunities to support consultants both in a clinic environment and in theatres.
Hours per week: 10 PAs
Main duties of the job
This is a whole-time post in Breast Surgery, East Cheshire NHS Trust based at Macclesfield District General Hospital.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Breast Surgery and be expected to work in Breast Outpatients and theatres under the supervision of the 2 consultant breast surgeons and 2 locums , and attend multidisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications Essential
MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications GMC registration FRCS / MRCS or equivalent
Eligibility Essential
Eligible for full registration with GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice Evidence of achievement of Foundation by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice including: Good clinical care Maintaining good medical practice Good relationships and communication with patients Good working relationships with colleagues Good teaching and training Professional behaviour and probity Delivery of good acute clinical care Evidence of the achievement of ST4 competences in general/breast surgery or equivalent experience of 4 years working in general/breast surgery
Fitness to Practise Essential
