An exciting opportunity to join the Medical Education Department at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job The Department is responsible for the strategic development, operational management and delivery of high-quality, efficient and compliant undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programmes, ensuring an excellent learning environment for both resident doctors and undergraduate medical students in line with the General Medical Council, Health Education Kent, Surrey & Sussex (HEKSS), Brighton and Sussex Medical Schools, and SPFT strategic objectives.
About us The postholder will operate with a high degree of autonomy, providing operational oversight of Medical Education across the SPFT. Working in partnership with the Strategic Medical Education Manager, Director of Medical Education and Deputy Director of Medical Education.
Job description Job responsibilities Working closely with the Strategic Medical Education Manager (SMEM), Director of Medical Education (DME), and Deputy Director of Medical Education (dDME), the postholder will manage complex education programmes, lead on projects and improvement initiatives, and deputise for the Strategic Medical Education Manager when required.

Knowledge and Experience within Medical Education Experience of strategic and operational management Experience in managing complex projects independently, on planning, deliver and risk management Project management experience Educated to minimum diploma level with relevant experience or equivalent Sustained concentration to analyse complex statistical data, reports and protocols with accuracy
Desirable
Specialist, expert-level knowledge of medical education and training Experience of working as a manager - ideally in an education role
