About this role

Essential Requirements A minimum 6 months experience and proven track record of working as a Catering Assistant • Experienced and trained on HACCP management systems is preferable • Proven experience in the preparation and cooking of food • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Friendly, outgoing and dedicated to outstanding customer service • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of the team • A willingness to undertake further training and development as required • A respect and understanding of the community and youth sector The Catering Assistant will work under the guidance of the Café Manager Health & Safety /Hygiene • Maintain a clean and safe working environment sin line with legal requirements. Service Delivery • Assist in the preparation, cook and serve food for the daily menu • Ensure adherence is being maintained in relation to the control of waste and recycling • Report any customer complaints or compliments to the Café Manager • Report any incidents or accident, fire, loss damage or other irregularities to the Café Manager • Attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary Hrs of Work 24hrs per week. Monday to Saturday, with shifts allocated on a rotational basis. Applicants mus be available to work flexibly across all operating days and shift patterns to support the needs of the youth service
