Job Title: part time Kitchen Porter at stupa restaurant waterford Job Summary A Kitchen Porter supports the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and basic food preparation tasks. This role ensures the kitchen runs efficiently and complies with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, surfaces, and storage areas. Empty bins and ensure proper waste disposal and recycling. Assist chefs with basic food preparation (e.g., peeling, chopping, portioning). Unload deliveries and store ingredients properly. Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. Maintain cleaning schedules and follow sanitation procedures. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods. Skills & Requirements No formal qualifications required (training provided). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good teamwork and communication skills. Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications (Optional) Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment. Basic knowledge of food safety standards. Food hygiene certification (if required locally).
