Job Description Galu Limited is a specialist manufacturer of high-quality steel buffer tanks and pressure vessel components. We are seeking an experienced Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, assembling, and inspecting steel components used in the manufacture of industrial buffer tanks in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, and company quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components in accordance with approved welding procedures. Fabricate, assemble, and fit steel components for buffer tanks and associated products using engineering drawings and fabrication specifications. Read and accurately interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, weld symbols, and dimensional specifications. Measure, cut, prepare, and finish metal components using workshop equipment and fabrication tools. Carry out tack welding, final welding, grinding, finishing, and visual inspection to ensure products meet quality standards. Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy and weld quality before progressing to the next production stage. Operate fabrication equipment safely, including guillotines, press brakes, drills, grinders, and welding equipment. Follow company quality management procedures and comply with all health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment. Work independently and collaboratively to meet production schedules and quality targets. Requirements Minimum of two years' practical experience as a Welder or Metal Fabricator in a manufacturing or fabrication workshop. Demonstrated experience in MIG and/or TIG welding. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications. Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, and workshop practices. Ability to produce high-quality work with excellent attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
