About this role
In this role, you will Lead, support, and develop a team of Manual QA Engineers. Plan the team’s workload, assign testing tasks, and coordinate priorities across different projects. Define testing approaches, test plans, checklists, and regression strategies. Review product requirements and identify unclear scenarios, gaps, dependencies, and potential risks. Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, usability, and compatibility testing. Coordinate the testing of web applications, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure-related services. Review test cases, checklists, and defect reports prepared by team members. Ensure that defects are clearly documented, correctly prioritized, and followed through to resolution. Participate in bug-triage meetings and coordinate the investigation of complex issues. Evaluate release readiness and communicate quality risks to Product Owners and development teams. Cooperate closely with developers, Product Owners, automation engineers, Support, and infrastructure teams. Monitor test coverage, defect trends, release quality, and other relevant QA indicators. Maintain and improve QA documentation, standards, templates, and internal guidelines. Help organize test environments and ensure that the team has the required tools and test data. Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, or automate testing processes. Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, provide feedback, and support team members’ professional development. Participate in onboarding, mentoring, performance reviews, and recruitment when required. Promote ownership, attention to detail, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team. Requirements At least three years of professional experience in manual software testing. Previous experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring QA specialists. Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques. Good understanding of the software development and testing life cycles. Experience preparing test plans, test cases, checklists, and clear defect reports. Practical experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing. Understanding of web technologies, client-server architecture, HTTP, REST APIs, and JSON. Experience using browser developer tools and API-testing tools such as Postman. Familiarity with bug-tracking, documentation, and test-management systems. Ability to assess product risks, set testing priorities, and make release-quality recommendations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to work. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Written and spoken English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
