We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer (Project Manager Engineering) to join our Engineering team. This role will be responsible for leading engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery according to agreed timelines, quality standards, budget targets, and technical requirements. The Project Engineer will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage customer and business requirements, and drive the successful execution of new product development, engineered-to-order customer projects, and research initiatives. The role is based in Overath, Germany, with a hybrid working model, requiring regular on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
• Lead engineering projects, including new product development, engineered-to-order customer projects, and research initiatives.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, quality targets, and technical deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
• Gather, analyze, and manage customer and business requirements, ensuring alignment with technical solutions and project objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure technical requirements, customer specifications, and project scope are fulfilled and properly documented.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering and project management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience in engineering, product development, or technical project management.
• Experience managing technical or engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, timing, budget, quality, and requirements management.
• Broad engineering background with the ability to work across multiple technical disciplines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced German and professional English language skills, both written and spoken.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Experience in the HVAC industry.
• Experience with new product development and/or engineered-to-order projects.
• Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2, or similar) is an advantage.
• Experience working in an international manufacturing environment.
