The Product Manager owns the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to obsolescence, defining what to build by translating market and customer needs into solutions that deliver profitable growth and competitive differentiation. This role is responsible for developing product roadmaps and ensuring alignment with customer needs and market opportunities. The Product Manager partners cross-functionally to deliver and maintain innovative, high-impact products that meet business objectives.

As A Product Manager, You Will:

• Develop and execute 5-year product roadmaps, managing the product lifecycle from development to obsolescence

• Set product priorities for new developments to optimize margins

• Create comprehensive business cases outlining expected returns

• Define product positioning and ensure designs meet customer use cases

• Owns and accurately maintains product information throughout the lifecycle

• Gather and analyze Voice of Customer insights to inform product features and functionality

• Translate market and customer insights into clear product requirements, features, and technical direction

• Balance growth, cost, and profitability through disciplined product portfolio and lifecycle management

• Own product data integrity and structure, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with global data standards to enable effective commercialization, analytics, and digital tools

• Support pricing strategy and execution by providing product inputs (e.g., cost, features, value drivers) and partnering with Pricing to enable value-based pricing, margin optimization, and competitive positioning

• Develop and support sales enablement tools (e.g., product documentation, technical collateral, value drivers) to ensure accurate representation of product capabilities and effective customer engagement

• Partner cross-functionally (engineering, operations, commercial) to ensure successful delivery and adoption

• Continuously refine products based on performance, feedback, and evolving customer needs

• Travel: 20%, depending on tasks at hand

KPIs

• Revenue and profitability by product line

• Market growth

• ROI on new product development

• Roadmap execution (on-time, in-scope delivery)

• Customer satisfaction and product adoption

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• Bachelors in engineering, business, or related field

• 3+ years relevant experience in application engineering, product management, technical sales, or a similar technical customer-facing role

• Technical aptitude and business acumen

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to influence and gain alignment across multiple functions

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• HVAC industry preferred

• Technical education/experience a plus

• Experience with air conditioning, refrigeration, or industrial equipment

• Experience with variable frequency drives and variable capacity compression

• Experience working with international and cross-functional teams

• MBA preferred

Onsite Work Arrangement: This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities. There is the option to have 1 work from home day per week.

About Our Location The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the HVACR Americas business unit. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
