What You Will Contribute: We are Badger Meter Czech Republic, a manufacturer of electromagnetic flow meters with more than 20 years of history in Brno. We are looking for an independent quality engineer who will take responsibility for quality in our whole plant. The position has no direct reports and reports directly to the Plant Manager
Key responsibilities
• Coordinate customer complaint resolution: root cause investigation (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa), corrective and preventive actions.
• Communicate with suppliers and resolve supplier complaints and quality issues.
• Conduct basic supplier audits.
• Maintain and develop the Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001 and prepare for external audits and certifications.
• Manage sampling and approval of new products and components (PPAP).
• Set up, coordinate and maintain quality control mechanisms during the production process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on improvement of company processes and product quality.
Qualifications
• Secondary or university education in a technical field.
• Min. 3 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.).
• Experience with ISO 9001 and internal audits (ISO 17025 is an advantage).
• Analytical mindset and independence.
• Communication skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
• Czech and English at a communicative level (daily written and spoken communication).
• Knowledge of the MS Office 365 environment.
• Willingness and ability to learn.
• Interest in modern technologies and artificial intelligence.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to suppliers (audits, problem solving).
