$10,000 Sign on Bonus!! Work Schedule: 5 days a week, will need to rotate coverage on weekends (usually work 1 weekend a month)
• Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments by evaluating medical history, anthropometric data, nutrition-focused physical findings, dietary intake, and malnutrition risk to develop individualized care plans. • Provides evidence-based nutrition interventions, counseling, education, and care management for patients with acute and chronic disease states, utilizing culturally sensitive and health literacy-appropriate approaches. • Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts nutrition care plans to achieve clinical nutrition goals, optimize patient outcomes, and support recovery and disease management. • Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams during patient care rounds to develop, implement, and coordinate nutrition plans of care, including nutrition orders when authorized. • Maintains accurate electronic health record documentation while supporting quality improvement, research initiatives, staff development, and the training of dietetic interns, technicians, and new team members. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy
• General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet software
• Ability to search the web for nutrition research or practice updates and apply knowledge to updating reference materials, preparing for presentations, education, etc.
• Avails self to staff on units as the nutrition expert
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities
• Attends interdisciplinary meetings and rounds on assigned units as scheduled unless valid excuse demonstrated
• Reviews and/or updates department resource/reference materials when applicable or [Required]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
• in nutrition or related field
Work Experience:
• 3+ experience in a clinical setting [Required]
