Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 2363 63RD ST City: WOODRIDGE State: Illinois Postal Code: 60517 Job Description:
5 8hr shifts per week. Weekends vary but two within a six week period
• Helping OR team to transfer patient from bed or cart to operating table, and from operating table to bed after surgery. • Helping in preparing operative site. • Helping surgeon for draping the patient, helping surgeon to make incisions, insertion of • Trocars under surgeon’s supervision. • Maintain the exposure of operative field, using retractors, sponges, suctioning, clamping • Ligating, cauterization of bleeding vessels, manipulating or removal of tissues, implants, surgical devices or drains. • Helping to close surgical site, using appropriate suturing or stapling devices, securing drains, applying appropriate dressing, helping in application of casts. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to consistently demonstrate clear communication skills and strong anticipatory skills. • Knowledge of a broad spectrum of surgical instrumentation required. • Enhanced knowledge of a wide breadth of surgical procedures, human anatomy and surgical techniques required • Multi-tasking, organization, and ability to make sound judgment required • The ability to work under stressful circumstances.
Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv
Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Surgical Assistant (RSA) [Required] • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] • Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) [Required] OR State Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) [Required]

Pay Range:
