Project Info: Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) is delivering enabling works at Osborne Naval Shipyard in South Australia, paving the way for the future Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard. The project will use an estimated 66 million work hours and 126,000 tonnes of structural steel, with the Fabrication Hall alone measuring 420 metres in length. ACCIONA is proud to partner with ANI to deliver this nationally significant program.
About the Opportunity: As Commercial Manager, you will lead commercial activities across the enabling works package at Osborne, reporting directly to the Project Manager. You will coordinate bid, governance and contract matters, oversee financial control including cost forecasting and claims management, and deliver accurate monthly reporting on project performance. You will manage administration of multiple contracts under a Delivery Partner model, working closely with the Project Manager and broader project leadership to ensure commercial outcomes align with ACCIONA's standards and objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
• Administer head contracts and subcontracts across the project • Prepare and negotiate variation and extension of time claims • Manage procurement and tender processes for major packages • Identify, log and mitigate contract and supply chain risks • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and supply chain • Deliver accurate monthly reports on project economic performance • Apply commercial negotiation techniques to secure value for money
Required Skills and Competencies
About You:
• Degree in Contract Law, Commerce, Quantity Surveying or Engineering • Extensive experience in construction or infrastructure contract management • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams • Experience administering contracts under a Delivery Partner model • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
