JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance our global manufacturing network environment. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale network solutions across manufacturing sites, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity that enables critical business operations.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in network switching, strong knowledge of network security, excellent communication skills, and a positive, collaborative approach to working with stakeholders across technical and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and support large-scale enterprise LAN, WLAN, and network infrastructure solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing network projects, refresh initiatives, and site expansions.
• Support day-to-day operational activities and troubleshoot complex network issues across manufacturing environments.
• Drive improvements in network performance, reliability, availability, and security.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to understand operational requirements and deliver effective network solutions.
• Partner with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security standards, vulnerability management, and network segmentation initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network designs, and implementation plans.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders and project teams.
• Contribute to network automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-scale network environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Cisco Switching and Routing
• Cisco Wireless technologies
• Enterprise Firewalls (Palo Alto or Check Point)
• TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Network Security principles and best practices
• Experience supporting manufacturing or operational technology (OT) environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Positive attitude, collaborative approach, and willingness to support business-critical manufacturing operations.
Preferred Qualifications
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center, F5, Splunk, ServiceNow, NetBrain, LogicMonitor, Ansible, or Python.
• Experience with Network Segmentation, Access Control, and Network AIOps.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or manufacturing.
