Customer-facing role | significant responsibility for both architecture and implementation
We are looking for a Senior Azure Architect (Security & Development) with a strong development background to design, implement and optimize Microsoft Sentinel–based security solutions for our enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead customer workshops and technical discovery sessions in German to understand business requirements, security needs, and existing Azure/on‑prem environments.
• Design end‑to‑end Microsoft Sentinel architectures, including data connectors, Log Analytics workspaces, analytics rules, playbooks, workbooks, and role models.
• Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps for security automation, enrichment, and integration with third‑party systems (ticketing, ITSM, notification channels).
• Design and configure Security controls:
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• RBAC concepts and custom roles
• Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Managed identities, app registrations, and service principals
• Conditional Access policies
• Advise customers on Azure licensing and cost models related to:
• Microsoft Sentinel pricing and data ingestion
• Defender plans and add‑ons
• Log Analytics retention and archive costs
• Cost optimization strategies (data filtering, workspace strategy, commitment tiers, etc.).
• Design Azure monitoring and logging strategies:
• Log Analytics workspace design, data ingestion strategy, and table structure
• Diagnostic settings for Azure resources and security solutions
• Metrics and alerting for Microsoft Sentinel, Logic Apps, and related services
• Performance and cost optimization for large-scale environments
• Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub) for Sentinel content and infrastructure:
• Version control of KQL, Logic Apps, workbooks, and configuration
• Automated deployment across multiple independent client environments
• Quality gates, code review processes, and testing integration
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
Your Profile
• Several years of proven hands-on Azure architecture expertise, ideally with a focus on security and monitoring
• substantial experience working with Microsoft Sentinel or Azure Data Lake
• Strong, demonstrable development background (automation, scripting, integration)
• Experience in customer-facing roles: workshops, consulting, and solution design
• Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions
• Fluent German (C1/C2): able to lead workshops, present architectures, and write documentation for German-speaking customers
• Good English (B2+): capable of working with international teams, reading and producing technical documentation, and participating in global projects

For this position, we offer an annual gross salary starting at EUR80.000 (all-in, 40 hours/week).
