🚛 Residential Garbage Truck Driver – Rear Load Company: Waste Connections Location: Okahumpka, FL 💵 Pay: $23+ per hour (based on experience) 🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays ⏱️ Hours: 50–60 hours per week 📌 Full‑Time | Year‑Round Position Overview Waste Connections is seeking safety‑focused Residential Rear‑Load Garbage Truck Drivers who take pride in hard work, teamwork, and career growth. This is a driver‑to‑driver position that requires both driving and riding on the back of the truck while servicing residential neighborhoods. Safety is our #1 value. Candidates must be comfortable working in active residential areas, performing physical labor, and following strict safety procedures throughout the route. Key Responsibilities
• Operate a residential rear‑load garbage truck on assigned routes • Ride on the back of the truck between stops while servicing residential areas • Repeatedly climb on and off the truck throughout the shift • Lift, pull, and empty residential trash containers • Perform heavy physical labor for the duration of the route • Safely and courteously interact with customers in residential neighborhoods • Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and route procedures • Work outdoors in all weather conditions • Assist driving partner to complete routes safely and efficiently Job Requirements
