Purpose: The UTeach Student Office Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the UTeach program office. This position is ideal for students who are organized, reliable, and enjoy helping others in a professional setting.

Responsibilities:

• Front Desk Reception and Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for the UTeach program by answering and directing phone calls, responding to or routing emails, providing accurate program information to students, faculty, and visitors, maintaining front desk coverage, and assisting with general inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

• Administrative and Office Support: Provide administrative support to faculty and staff by reserving rooms, sending confirmation emails, processing mail, ordering and organizing office supplies, assisting with copying and preparation of materials, maintaining shared office spaces and break rooms, checking deliveries, and performing other assigned office support duties.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Ability to commit to a consistent work schedule and arrive/depart on time. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications: Freshman or sophomore classification. 1 year of office or customer service experience. Availability to work at 8:00 a.m. and/or on Fridays until 5:00 p.m. Willingness to work during winter break, spring break, and summer as needed.

Salary: $13 per hour

Working Conditions

• This is an in-person assignment located in Painter Hall on main campus.

• Located in a high traffic front office lobby.

• May work around standard office conditions.

• Repetitive use of computer equipment.

Work Shift

• Between 12 and 19 hours per week determined with your supervisor

• Office is open Monday through Friday from 8a-5p.
