A Brief Overview
The US LBM Lead Software Engineer will provide technical leadership while working hands-on alongside software engineers developing highly available web/mobile applications, APIs, integrations, and technology solutions supporting US LBM’s supply chain organization.
This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, product partnership, and business engagement. The Engineering Lead will partner with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to align technology delivery with business objectives and guide teams through design, development, deployment, and support.
The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack engineering expertise with meaningful supply chain domain knowledge and the ability to translate complex operational processes into scalable technology solutions.
What you will do
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications, APIs, and integrations supporting supply chain operations
• Remain hands-on in complex development while providing technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews
• Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders to translate priorities into scalable technical solutions
• Apply supply chain expertise across procurement, inventory, demand planning, supplier collaboration, logistics, warehouse operations, and fulfillment
• Lead technical design and architecture to ensure scalable, secure, reliable solutions
• Drive delivery priorities, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate progress and outcomes
• Build reusable engineering patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and development standards
• Improve supply chain processes through automation, AI, and modern application design
• Champion AI-assisted development including specification-driven development, automated testing, AI code review, and intelligent workflows
• Troubleshoot complex production issues while maintaining data integrity and measurable business value

Education Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
Experience Qualifications
• 5+ years developing and delivering custom web, mobile, enterprise, or integration solutions
• 4+ years of full-stack development experience
• Demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, design guidance, architecture, and delivery ownership
• Strong hands-on experience developing applications within Microsoft Azure
• Experience developing solutions supporting procurement, inventory, warehouse management, demand planning, logistics, supplier collaboration, order management, or fulfillment
• Experience partnering with Product Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders
• Experience with version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Skills and Abilities
• Advanced proficiency developing applications and serverless REST APIs using C#/.NET within Microsoft Azure
• Strong expertise with SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of API design, integrations, distributed systems, and modern application architecture
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools including Terraform, GitHub, and Azure DevOps
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and technologies supporting procurement, inventory, planning, warehouse operations, logistics, supplier management, and fulfillment
• Ability to communicate technical decisions, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to partner with Product Managers and business leaders to connect engineering priorities with measurable business outcomes
• Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted software development and AI-first engineering practices
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership, delivery oversight, and stakeholder engagement
