Maintenance Assistant (Permanent) AHKey Responsibilities:
• Conduct general property maintenance, inc. carpentry, tiling, repairs to doors, windows & locking systems. • Install and repair gutter and drainpipe systems. • Perform basic plumbing repairs. • Source and obtain materials from local suppliers. • Oversee the work of contractors when required. • Provide support to colleagues, including covering for absences and offering on-call assistance. • Adhere strictly to all company policies and health and safety regulations. • Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Proficiency in using basic hand tools. • Expertise in one or more building trades such as carpentry, plastering, or tiling. • Possession of a full, clean UK driving licence. • Substantial proven experience in a similar role, with Basic understanding of current Building Regulations. • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. • High practical ability and strong numeracy skills for measuring and making calculations.
