About this role
Mechanical & Electrical Engineer DW (Permanent) AHKey Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain heating and ventilation (H&V) systems, including pumps, motors, and actuators. • Conduct daily checks of boiler rooms and plant equipment. • Maintain commercial kitchen equipment and plant. • Perform installation, fault-finding, and maintenance on low-voltage (LV) electrical systems. • Diagnose faults, repair, or replace defective equipment. • Manage stock and source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers. • Oversee contractor work. • Provide technical support to colleagues and assist other staff members. • Ensure a safe working environment for all staff and complete work to the highest standard. • Adhere to confidentiality requirements and company health and safety policies. • Provide cover for colleagues during absences. • Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
Knowledge and Skills:
• BEng or Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering. • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification. • Recognized C&G or NVQ qualifications. • Knowledge of current Building Regulations and Health and Safety standards. • Technical expertise in building or facilities maintenance. • Strong numerical ability for calculations and measurements. • Proven experience in a related field. • Full, clean UK driving license.
