Organization: SRMC-Sutter Roseville Med Center Position Overview: Follows clearly defined diagnostic sonography procedures to deliver high quality images to physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of injury or disease. Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Job Description: EDUCATION

• Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.

CERTIFICATIONS:

• ARDMS-American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - RDCS-Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

• Basic clinical and practical experience as typically acquired during an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• General knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, and views as well as the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment.

• Capable of performing routine sonographic examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

• Possess solid written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.

• Good time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadline

• Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).

Pay Range is $57.75 to $70.42 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
