[What the role is] The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a safe, sustainable and liveable built environment for Singapore. Join our dynamic team that actively shapes a more accessible and inclusive city. You will experience diverse roles and functions covering building regulations, stakeholder engagement, grant administration and universal design promotion. [What you will be working on] Your responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing building plan submissions, including designs related to safety, environmental sustainability and barrier-free accessibility
• Formulating strategies, policies and processes for accessibility standards and advancing universal design in the built environment
• Promoting and administering the Accessibility Fund
• Carrying out stakeholder engagement and community outreach initiatives to address accessibility challenges and promote universal design adoption
[What we are looking for] We seek passionate, energetic and self-motivated individuals inspired to make a meaningful impact in shaping a more accessible and liveable built environment.
• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate or Building-related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant building design and project management experience
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Registration as an architect with the Board of Architects or as a professional engineer with the Professional Engineers Board is an advantage
Successful candidates will be offered contract employment initially and may be considered for extension or permanent tenure.
