Work Location: Richmond, BC, Canada (Monday - Thursday onsite) 12 month contract position
Position Summary: Advises the IoT Connectivity Business Unit on financial health and performance, forecast, reporting, and budgeting activities. This role acts as a strategic partner, resolving operational challenges, improving processes and managing the IoT Connectivity Business Unit FP&A team. They oversee the build-out of commercial FP&A processes, create P&Ls, support integration efforts, and manage financial materials for presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a key financial resource and strategic advisor to multiple SLT members
• Lead weekly and monthly forecast processes for IoT Connectivity Business Unit
• Provide variance reporting, offering insights on actual vs forecast performance
• Collaborate with Corporate Finance on integrating BU legacy finance functions
• Conduct financial analysis for targeted IoT Connectivity Business Unit, supporting investment decisions, special projects, and M&A
• Manage financial materials for BU BOD presentations, influencing BU and company-level decision making
• Oversee the annual multi-BU ABP process, ensuring sound financial decisions and projections
• Support Product Management/Marketing in consensus forecasting and PLM DMD
• Establish a feedback loop between sales and the BU, developing revenue/booking forecast metrics and KPIs
• Develop governance and decision-making processes, implementing world-class FP&A practices
• Lead and nurture a high-performing Finance team within the BU
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration or a related subject
• 10+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting, ideally in FP&A
• 3+ years of leadership experience and strong people management skills
• A self-starter who can work independently and inspire others both in and outside of reporting org
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to influence a desired outcome
• Organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflows, both individually and across a team of 10+ individuals
• Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting to executive management
• Attention to detail and approaches work with initiative and a strong sense of urgency
• Business partnership skills and the demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and across geographical boundaries
• Proficient with MS Office with Expert Excel knowledge
• MBA/CPA/CFA preferred

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position is CAD$145,000 - $160,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package
