Position Summary

The Well Services Supervisor is responsible for supporting the planning, preparation, and supervision of wellsite operations — encompassing well testing and clean-up, well interventions, stimulation, reservoir monitoring, artificial lift activities, wellhead maintenance, and well integrity — ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently, with a focus on operational optimization and comprehensive reporting.

This is a field-based position requiring personnel to work daily at the wellsite(s) while residing at the company camp throughout their rotation. The role operates on an equal rotation basis (e.g., 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off), with flexibility to adjust the schedule in line with operational requirements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Work independently and be capable of undertaking the following tasks without supervision:

• Assist in the design and development of detailed well testing & clean-up operational procedures.

• Assist in the design and development of detailed well intervention (slickline, e-line, coiled tubing) operational procedures.

• Assist in the design and development of detailed well completion installation procedures.

• Assist in the design and development of detailed stimulation operational procedures.

• Assist in the design and development of detailed wellhead maintenance and well integrity procedures.

• Supervise all well testing & clean-up, well intervention, completion, stimulation, wellhead maintenance, well integrity operations at the wellsite in a safe and efficient manner.

• Prepare and submit accurate, timely, and detailed daily operational reports for all well services activities, including lookaheads, well testing and clean-up, well intervention, completions, stimulation, wellhead maintenance, and well integrity operations.

• Generate, review, and maintain comprehensive End of Well Reports, ensuring all operational activities, lessons learned, technical data, performance metrics, and recommendations are accurately documented and archived in accordance with company standards.

• Perform QA/QC on all third-party equipment utilized in well test & clean-up, well intervention, stimulation, reservoir monitoring, artificial lift, wellhead maintenance and well integrity operations.

• Perform QA/QC on all data reported from in well test & clean-up, well intervention, stimulation, reservoir monitoring, artificial lift, wellhead maintenance and well integrity operations

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of:

• Well test & clean-up design, operational procedures, and safety protocols.

• Well Intervention operations involving coiled tubing, slickline, logging, and pumping services, along with associated safety protocols.

• Completion design and installation procedures.

• Stimulation operational procedures, and safety protocols.

• Wellhead maintenance and well integrity operation procedures and safety protocols

• Provide sound technical direction to contractor personnel during wellsite operations.

• Challenge contractor performance or actions when they fail to meet expected standards.

• Demonstrate excellent supervisory and organizational skills to effectively oversee a wide range of operational activities and contractor personnel

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Education and Qualifications Expected

• Valid IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control (WIPC) Level 4 certification, or the ability to renew a previous certification within a short timeframe.

• Minimum of 10 years of oilfield experience, including at least 5 years in a Supervisor role covering well testing, stimulation, completions, slickline, or coiled tubing operations.

• Strong working knowledge of well testing, stimulation, completions, slickline, and coiled tubing operations, including documentation control.

• Technical background in engineering, with a minimum of a 4-year degree in a related discipline.

• Strong leadership, supervisory, coaching, and mentoring skills.

• Proven experience working with and managing third-party service providers.

• Advanced awareness of hazards and risks associated with completion and intervention field activities, with the ability to incorporate mitigation measures into operational programs and implement them at the wellsite to ensure safe operations.

• Partner with the HSE department to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards/codes.

• Report all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager.

• Fully endorse HKN's "Stop the Job" policy, demonstrating commitment to proactive intervention whenever an unsafe act or condition is observed.

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in full compliance with HSE procedures, working instructions, and safety standards.
