HKN Hamrin Ltd. is a privately held, independent oil and gas company operating in the Republic of Iraq. The Hamrin Block is comprised of 535 km2 and contains one producing field. The Hamrin field produces oil primarily from the Tertiary (Miocene) reservoirs — the Jeribe and Euphrates formations — with the Dhiban formation as a secondary reservoir.

Position Summary
Surveyor who can inspect and document Civil Surveying with Total Stations, DGPS and other Civil Surveying techniques. Must be physically fit to work in a field environment with strong computer skills. Excellent record keeping skills required. Must be highly motivated and self-managed.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Performance Expectations:
• Civil land surveying.
• Setting out of civil works in accordance with construction drawings.
• Inspecting and checking of sub-contractor's setting out, lines and levels for measuring and checking quantities.
• Settlement monitoring.
• Documentation and record-keeping relating to surveying works.
• Processing of survey data and coordination with the Civils design team.
• Participation in Company HSE programme.
Competency (Knowledge & Skills) Required:
• Proven knowledge and experience of latest 3D digital surveying equipment.
• Proven knowledge and experience of land surveying and setting out techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills – ability to process survey data and communicate to others.
• Must be pro-active and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction HSE best practice
Minimum Qualifications
• Education and Qualifications Expected / Required:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is a plus but not required if candidate has strong experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Trimble, Leica or related equipment is a plus.
• Experience of Microsoft Office with focus on Excel.
• Driving License is required.
• English and Arabic language and writing skills are required..
Experience Expected / Required:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on surveying experience in the energy sector.
