Position Summary Supervise and direct Civil Contractors' equipment and work crews to achieve safe completion of civil works in accordance with Company's objectives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities Performance Expectations:
• Assist with supervision and direction of civil contractors' equipment and work crews to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications, including but not limited to concreting, earthworks, road works, underground services and fencing.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by the Senior Civils Field Supervisor, such as surveying, testing and measuring quantities.
• Prepare daily reports of tasks undertaken.
• Participate in Company's HSE programme.
• Attendance at contractors' toolbox talks and other safety briefings.
Competency (Knowledge & Skills) Required:
• Knowledge of civil construction techniques with emphasis on bulk earthworks, concrete foundations/pits, roadworks and fencing.
• Good mechanical skills and knowledge of construction equipment including vehicle parts and servicing/maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings.
• English speaking and writing language skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction HSE best practice.
• Basic IT skills and ability to prepare daily reports in English.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Qualifications Expected / Required:
• No formal qualifications are required. Candidates will be assessed based on knowledge, skills and experience.
Experience Expected / Required:
• 5+ years hands-on experience of supervising construction equipment and civil works.
Other Relevant Competency Requirements:
• Driving License is required.
