The Hamrin field produces oil primarily from the Tertiary (Miocene) reservoirs — the Jeribe and Euphrates formations — with the Dhiban formation as a secondary reservoir.

Position Summary
The Civil Field Engineer will work as part of the Civil Field Supervision team in HKN's Hamrin Field. The Civils Field Engineer will supervise and direct civil contractors to complete civil works in accordance with drawings, specifications and Company HSE/Quality Procedures. Must be highly motivated
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Performance Expectations:
• Supervision of civil works to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications, including but not limited to concreting, earthworks, roadwork, underground services and fencing.
• Witnessing and inspection of civil contractors' works for quality control purposes.
• Checking and verifying contractors' work for quantity measurement.
• Monitoring and reporting construction progress against the project schedule.
• Participation in Company HSE programmed.
• Attendance at contractors' toolbox talks and other safety briefings.
• Recording of field modifications and maintaining as-built records.
Competency (Knowledge & Skills) Required:
• Knowledge of civil construction techniques and equipment with emphasis on bulk earthworks, concrete foundations/pits, roadworks and security fencing.
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Excellent record keeping skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be pro-active and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction HSE best practice.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Qualifications Expected / Required:
• Degreed Civil or Geotechnical Engineer.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• English language and writing skills are required.
Experience Expected / Required:
• Minimum of 5 years' construction supervision experience with emphasis on bulk earthworks, concrete foundations/pits, roadworks and security fencing.
• Experience of Microsoft Office with focus on Word and Excel.
Other Relevant Competency Requirements:
• Driving License is required.
