EDUCATION (must be required for position), LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE: * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. * Licenses: No current licenses required * Certifications: No Current certifications required * Experience Preferred one year experience in the medical field. Preferred one year experience working with insurance companies, and two to five years of experience in the customer service field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ● Maintain reliable and punctual attendance, arriving as scheduled each day. ● Display a professional, respectful, and courteous attitude toward patients, colleagues, and external partners at all times. ● Maintain proficiency in essential office technology, including the EMR, patient portals, and other job-related applications. ● Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and team huddles. ● Assist with training new hires as needed. ● Comply with competency audits and complete training as directed by the Practice Manager. ● Maintain a professional, respectful, and courteous demeanor with patients, colleagues, and external partners at all times. ● Demonstrate fiscal responsibility in day-to-day operations and resource usage. ● Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
GENERAL DUTIES of Referral Coordinator ● Processes and prioritizes all incoming referrals based on clinical urgency; gathers patient histories, forwards required documentation to specialists per guidelines, and ensures new referral orders are formally submitted when needed. ● Maintains active tracking and thorough documentation in the EHR to promote team awareness, support patient safety, and keep both ordering providers and patients updated on referral status. ● Serves as the primary point of contact for patients and specialists, reviewing referral expectations, answering inquiries, and resolving emerging care concerns. ● Assists patients in overcoming language, social, or transportation barriers to care, connecting them with appropriate internal or external resources when specialized help is required. ● Ensures complete and accurate patient registration by collecting demographic details and completing thorough insurance verification. GENERAL DUTIES of MOS ● Helps keep daily office routines, patient workflows, and practice procedures running smoothly. ● Assists patients directly during registration, accurately collecting and entering all demographic information into the system. ● Schedules appointments efficiently and prepares all necessary patient forms and paperwork prior to visits. ● Verifies insurance eligibility, collects copays, posts payments, and promptly alerts the Pre-Registration Specialist to any coverage issues. ● Handles incoming and outgoing calls with speed, care, and professionalism, ensuring all messages and notes are accurately logged in the EHR.

Wage starts at $19.10 per hour and goes up based on experience
