About this role

Position: Kettle Valley Steak House Manager Reports to: Hospitality Director

Employment: Seasonal, Full Time Start Date: Mid/late October

Pay Rate: $26 - $29/ hourly End Date: Mid-April

The Kettle Valley Steakhouse, a staple of the resort's food and beverage scene, is set to reopen its doors in December 2025, once again offering culinary excellence on the mountain. We are looking for a professional fine dining manager with previous 4+ star resort experience to be responsible for managing all front of house Kettle Valley Steakhouse operations while delivering a world class guest experience. The successful candidate will be able to train, direct service staff, control beverage inventory and execute daily service at a high level. The successful candidate will be highly proficient in wine service, craft cocktail preparation and food savvy. This position reports directly to the Director of Hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Manage all outlet operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards

• Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service

• Assist in the design and implementation of wine and drinks menus, goods purchasing and controls

• Identify customer's needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns

• Demonstrate leadership abilities through attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel

• Possess a strong working knowledge of BC liquor laws, licensing requirements, and compliance regulations

• Establish and maintain policies and procedures for internal systems and processes

• Comply with all Food Safe and Serving it Right regulations

• Report to management regarding sales results and productivity

Requirements

• 5+ years of fine dining management experience

• Excellent record in high volume high end food establishments, banqueting experience a plus but not necessary

• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, Toast, Optimum Control)

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Accredited wine certification from ISG, WSET or CMS

• Degree/Diploma in Food Service management or related field

Working Conditions:

• Able to work long hours

• Be on feet for extended periods of time

• Able to Lift 20lbs and bend and push repeatedly

• May be asked to work overtime in busy periods

• Help in other areas as needed
