Category Manager
We’re looking for a commercially driven and technically minded Category Manager to take ownership of a key product area. This is an exciting opportunity to influence category strategy, shape supplier partnerships, and deliver innovative solutions that drive customer productivity.
The Role
As Category Manager, you will lead the development and execution of a category strategy centred on improving machining performance, accuracy, and efficiency. You will work closely with suppliers, sales teams, and technical specialists to bring best-in-class solutions to market.

Develop and execute category growth strategies focused on manufacturing efficiencyBuild strong supplier partnerships across various sectorsCollaborate with sales and technical teams to improve customer productivity and performanceLead supplier engagement to drive innovation aligned with automation and smart manufacturingOptimise the product portfolio across premium and value-led ranges to maximise profitabilityNegotiate commercial agreements with suppliers, balancing technical value and costIdentify and deliver cross-selling and bundled solution opportunitiesEnsure product data, specifications and content are accurate, compelling and best-in-classUse customer insight and market trends to shape product roadmap and range developmentAct as a subject matter expert, supporting applications and monitoring emerging technologies and competitor activity

This can be a mostly remote role with an expectation to go to the office in the West Midlands once per month, otherwise home based and travel to see customers. Salary package circa £65k including bonus. Additional benefits on offer like company car and healthcare.
