About this role
About the role: We are seeking a Senior AWS TypeScript Engineer to help design, build and scale serverless cloud applications. You will work across architecture, backend development, infrastructure as code and DevOps, building resilient event-driven systems using modern AWS services. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product and DevOps teams while mentoring junior developers.
Responsibilities: - Design cloud-native serverless solutions - Build scalable backend services - Develop reusable infrastructure modules - Implement CI/CD pipelines - Optimise application performance and AWS costs - Monitor production systems - Troubleshoot incidents - Review pull requests - Mentor engineers - Contribute to architectural decisions
Requirements: - 5+ years commercial TypeScript experience - Strong experience building serverless applications on AWS - Infrastructure as Code using Terraform - Experience with event-driven architectures - Experience designing scalable REST APIs - Strong understanding of AWS security best practices - Experience mentoring developers - Excellent communication skills
